Derpy’s Water Trip! Long Island Sound!

I’ll keep the text intro simple ^_^

Derpy and I head to the water, she loves everything about the water and had so much fun and, of course, got a TON of attention, questions and even a few burn out requests!  Gotta love that!

Anyway, here we go, she loved this trip!

Derpy LIVES!

Well, she was never really dead, but she’s running better than ever!

For those who have been following the blog regularly, you know that Derpy was a bit sick over the previous months. I don’t know if it was all of the stress of the move or the cold weather but she developed a case of Bad Injectors.

So I opened the garage and pulled Derpy up on this rainy day:

Derpy sitting outside the garage, waiting for mending

And these bad boys came out:

Old injectors

The old, leaky/stuck injectors

And these were put in, brand new injectors from Trilogy Turbos! Check them out at http://www.trilogyturbos.com

New Injectors

New Injectors from Trilogy Turbos

They’re not only shinier but they put new life into Derpy . . .almost TOO MUCH life. We’ll get to that in a second.

Next up, a recently made friend of mine decided to help me out by selling me his OVCP (Over Valve Cover Pipe) hard pipe. Replacing those yucky (and as I found out, leaky) soft pipes with one solid piece throughout.

It also looks and flows MUCH better than the stock unit. Check it out!

The pipe when it came in

The new OVCP installed! Looks so much better!

OId Setup

The old setup, for comparison.

Close up of the old setup where it went to the BOV. You can see exactly where the leaks occurred. But, live and learn, right?

Now all that is left to do is find a location for the blow off valve OR have a bung (LOL! Bung) welded onto the OVCP for the BOV itself. That may prove easier, we’ll see.

Now, previously I mentioned that Derpy has new life and it’s almost TOO MUCH life. Well, the reason for that is, now that she has the new injectors and boost leaks fixed, she’s creating too much power for the stock clutch. It slips in the mid ranges. But no worries, a new clutch has been ordered, it’s an XTD Stage 3, 6-Puck Clutch.

A Stage 3, 6 Puck Clutch from XTD for the 1987 Chrysler Conquest TSi. Cloudsdale and Ponyville Legal!

At first I was hesitant to buy such an aggressive setup, but I figured that since Derpy is NOT a daily driver, it shouldn’t be so bad. It’ll only suck when trying to get her on the trailer, LOL!

I’ve also got on order, as I know they’re necessary, a set of coilovers. These aren’t a very well known brand, but they’re manufactured in the same building as K-Sports and D2s, at a much lower price, so I trust them.  I’ve also read reviews from people who have them and none of them have complained. I can’t wait to get them installed and get some serious drifting and racing happening this year.

Here they are, they are XYZ Sports!

XYZ Sport Coilovers for the Chrysler Conquest and Mitsubishi Starion.

Sorry for the lengthy update (and sorry for not updating more often) I just recently got all of these parts in and wanted to give all of the fans the run down and let them know what’s going on!

Thank you so much for being friends, fans and family with Derpy and I, it means SOOOO much!

Livery installed, Derpy Hooves is OFFICIALLY the coolest car in Equestria!

So, the livery installed and I’ve had a chance to take Derpy to a drift event. The persons in charge of printing, cutting and installing the livery are the good folks at Performance Signs and Designs. <— Click there to check them out on Facebook. Brent Knott and Alexandria Bingham are great people to know and will quickly become good friends of yours. Their professionalism and courtesy are second to none and they have UNBEATABLE prices! I’m not just saying that, I really do mean that you can shop around for days, weeks, months or even years and you won’t be able to beat the prices they have.  So check them out, tell them David Adams sent you and they’ll give you some special pricing!

Once again, the Performance Signs and Designs Facebook is located at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Performance-Signs-Designs/355164184577728

Their Phone Number to call them is: (386) 438-9012.

Let them know I sent you! ❤

At the event, it was SOOOO COLD but we had so much fun that you literally forgot how cold it was (low 25, high 50). It really gave me a chance to shake down the car and to show off how the Brony Community gets down when we decide to get it sideways. Derpy was a big hit, everyone loved her so much. I can’t believe how much fun it was to shake hands with almost everyone at that event and to get so many people wondering what this was about. I probably converted a few people over to the Derp-side! LOL!
Anyway, enough babble, on to pics and a teaser vid of some drifting!
